NO FCRA USE. This privately run website has no affiliation with any government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service meant for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It organizes official Taos County and New Mexico record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is an independent private reference site. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve agency files, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.
It identifies Taos County custodians, including the sheriff, criminal courts, New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry, and may link to outside research tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use of the resource includes a promise not to:
- Violate a federal, New Mexico, or local law
- Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
- Use the content for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision
- Seek unauthorized access to a system or account
- Operate a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool
- Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the resource
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against another person. Such conduct may be criminal. New Mexico's registry system under Sections 29-11A-1 and following NMSA 1978 exists for public safety awareness and does not authorize vigilantism or improper action against a listed person.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or any other consumer report. Advertising partners are not presented as services for evaluating applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. Information from here or a linked tool must not be used to:
- Decide whether to hire or fire someone
- Screen potential renters or housing applicants
- Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
- Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
- Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
A lawful check for a regulated purpose must come through an authorized official process or a qualified FCRA-compliant provider, not this resource.
5. No Legal Advice
Content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Taos County charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule affects a particular person. Individual advice must come from a licensed New Mexico attorney.
6. No Warranties
All content and functions are provided "as is." No warranty promises that:
- Information will always be complete, accurate, or current
- Access will remain uninterrupted
- Every page will be free from defects or security weaknesses
- An outside search provider will return a complete or correct result
New filings, dismissals, sealing, and expungement can change a record after publication. Gaps are unavoidable, and nothing here is an official statement by a court, sheriff, or government agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. We do not control their content, fees, availability, or data practices. Their terms apply after a visitor leaves this resource.
8. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Taos County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, changing, distributing, or creating derivative material requires prior written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damage arising from use of this resource, its information, or a linked service.
10. Indemnification
A user agrees to defend and hold us harmless from claims caused by that user's conduct or breach of these conditions, including related legal costs.
11. Governing Law
New Mexico law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with use of this resource must be brought in a court located in New Mexico, subject to applicable jurisdiction rules.
12. Changes to These Terms
These conditions may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text appears here.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions stay effective. The affected text will be narrowed only as needed.
